Dragon Hunter (2008) Film Recapped

 

The film starts with a nightmare that was about a dragon,

which a boy named Kendrick was watching.

When Kendrick was a child, dangerous dragons attacked their village.

For this reason, Kendrick's dad has given him to his elder brother.

So Kendrick's elder brother could take care of him.

Because he was the elder brother of Kendrick, and his dad tells him,

Both of you go from here and take care of yourself and your brother.

Later, both of them died because of the dragon's attack.

Kendrick wakes up suddenly who was sleeping.

Whereas his brother went for hunting in the jungle.

Meanwhile, he finds a man who was quite injured and was about to die.

The dragon attacked him,

that's why his brother brought him home, so he can cure him.

But his condition was so bad,

that his whole body burnt because of the dragon's attack.

That's why he died on the spot.

At night, Kendrick's brother was sharpening his weapons.

Meanwhile, another dragon attacked their village.

His brother doesn't fight with the dragon and comes to Kendrick,

he tells him that there is a threat to our life,

so we should leave as soon as possible.

Later after this, both brothers come into the jungle.

Kendrick's brother sets the fire there to spend the night,

and also if the dragon comes to attack, they can escape from him.

Because the dragons run away from the light and don't attack in any kind of light

His brother tells him that I've made a promise to our dad to take care of you.

That's why I've brought you here from the village,

later they sleep there while talking.

In the morning, some people attack them when they wake up.

Because Kendrick's brother was quite brave,

so he begins to fight with them alone.

He fights with them and encounters them,

later, he puts his knife on the neck of their leader who named Nathan,

and asks everyone to put down their weapons.

When everyone puts down their weapon, he leaves Nathan.

Nathan tells him that we did not come here to attack you,

but because of the fire you set here, we thought it might be a dragon here.

That's why we came here to hunt the dragon because we're all dragon hunters.

Later, Kendrick's brother tells them, actually, I'm also a dragon hunter.

Later, they make peace after shaking hands,

and their leader, Nathan includes both brothers with them.

Kendrick's brother leaves toward the west.

Then Nathan also starts to go toward the west after taking his companions.

During this time, Nathan's companion asks him on the way,

why we're following Kendrick's brother's words and going after him.

We can go separately because we know the path.

We shouldn't trust him, he can be a dangerous man.

Could be a spy in anyone's looks but Nathan says nothing is like this.

And we're going with him because he is quite brave.

They stay somewhere and Kendrick talks to one of Nathan's friends there.

He was the most powerful in their team,

and they develop friendships with each other.

Kendrick begins to tell him about himself.

On the other side, Kendrick's brother was investigating the map with Nathan.

Where can they easily go where the dragon won't be?

The next day, when they were moving,

two of Nathan's team members begin to tease their friend.

Seeing this, another friend of Nathan gets angry and begins to threaten them.

saying, "The ending will be terrible if you tease anyone after this."

Otherwise, I'll make you the meal of the dragon.

Later, Kendrick's brother sees the black magic items there.

While they were looking at these things,

some people attack them who were wearing masks and strong suits.

At first, they counterattack and fight with them.

Later, they begin to dominate them, and after seeing this,

Nathan's bravest companion, who was Kendrick's friend, gets furious suddenly.

Something strange begins to happen,

and it seemed as if he had become a monster,

his eyes grew bigger as well, and later, he attacks everyone dangerously.

He kills one by one easily.

When Kendrick comes in front of him, he grabs him.

But when he sees that he is Kendrick, his anger calms down.

Meanwhile, Kendrick's brother comes and grabs him.

He yells at him because he thought that he has come to kill Kendrick.

But Kendrick holds his brother and stops him, and tells him to calm down.

Nothing is like what you think, he is my friend.

He hasn't come to kill me but he has saved my life.

But his brother still can't believe him, and he angrily tells Nathan,

That we can't take this man, the brave man.

Nathan says it is impossible, we can't go without taking him with us.

He is my brave companion, and if your brother is dear enough to you,

you can take your brother with you.

Later Kendrick's brother agrees to take Nathan's companion with them.

After travelling all night, they decide to stay at a place,

Kendrick's brother tells them that there might be people from another group here.

So it isn't good to spend the night here.

We shouldn't stay here but keeps on moving, and they agree.

But when they were moving, a dragon attacks them.

He grabs one of their companions, and after throwing him away,

and makes him injured and goes after doing this.

Later, they take their companion to a doctor in their village.

He was a magician and a doctor, and he cures Nathan's companion with herbs.

Kendrick's brother was also injured during this all,

So one of the girls from Nathan's group, his friend, bandages him with herbs.

Later, he comes to Kendrick,

where he was having a fighting practice with one of Nathan's friends.

Because he doesn't know how to fight,

and after seeing this, he thinks he is beating Kendrick.

So he begins to beat him but Kendrick stops him and angrily says,

despite being a dragon hunter, you're a coward,

At that night, when the dragon attacked the villagers, you didn't save them.

And ran after saving mine and your life.

You're now not letting me learn the fight,

do you want me to become a coward like you?

His brother says, because I have sympathy with you, and love you, my brother,

In this way, you can be hurt, and on that day I have saved you because,

you can't be hurt and the promise I made with my dad to take care of you,

can't be broken.

In the meantime, Nathan's friend attacks Kendrick's brother.

And begin to fight.

Seeing them fighting, Nathan's friend comes to the doctor,

and after telling him about this all,

she asks him to apply medicine to their injured friend.

Well, the doctor comes and gives everyone the good news,

that your injured friend has survived.

We'll have a celebration of this happiness.

Everyone becomes happy to hear this,

but when the doctor was going from there after telling this news,

An old man comes to the doctor and begins to get angry with him,

why do you speak a lie and always make stories on your own?

The doctor doesn't pay attention to the old man's words,

and goes after pushing him.

Kendrick was also seeing this all after standing at the side.

When the doctor was narrating the story to the villagers at night,

Kendrick was standing there, and the same old man comes to him and says,

that he is a liar and is telling a fake story,

come with me, I'll tell you the truth,

Along with this, I have a task from you, and Kendrick comes with him.

The old man brings him to their injured companion,

and after putting a cut in his stomach,

he brings out a dragon-like thing from him.

Seeing this, Kendrick feels bad, and asks the old man,

what is this and why are you showing this to me?

He says that this is actually a dragon,

and dragons put these small monsters after cutting human's stomachs.

They then close the cuts after stitching them.

Later on, they become dangerous dragons and attack people.

I'm telling you this so you can fight with the dragon.

Because I've seen something in you that can make you a good dragon hunter,

And that is bravery.

On the other side, Nathan comes to Kendrick's brother and tells him,

that we will stay here tonight and go from here the next day.

At night, the doctor comes to the injured friend.

The dragon that the old man has put out from his stomach,

he locks it in a box.

The next day, when they move into the jungle,

they hear a strange sound in the jungle.

Hearing this, Nathan's friend tells everyone to keep quiet.

That's why they become quite alert.

Now, Nathan's friend moves forward and checks what kind of sound it was.

There she sees three men coming toward her.

They were coming to attack them,

and she begins to read a spell on her arrow after seeing them.

From which light with smoke emerges,

It seemed as if this friend of Nathan was also a magician.

She attacks them with her arrow, and we become shocked to see that,

three of them die after being attacked with that arrow.

It means three of them died in a single attack.

Later, they reach the palace of a senior dragon hunter.

where all the new dragon hunters were being trained.

They were taught to become a good dragon hunter.

It means every kind of fighting skill was taught there.

Now, they need the magical words of that senior dragon hunter,

from they can have control over a dragon hunter.

But when they enter inside, they become quite worried,

that it is a deserted place and there is no one there.

But they see a giant mark on the wall.

Seeing this, Nathan's companion says that this is the mark of the senior dragon hunter,

Because I've seen this mark on his old book.

There the doctor was writing something on a piece of cloth,

On which the same mark of the senior dragon hunter was made.

The old man comes to Kendrick's brother and tells him,

I've met your brother, and yes why didn't you tell him why you've brought him here?

He says that I can't tell him yet and will tell him at right time.

Meanwhile, Kendrick comes there and listened to their conversation,

he asks what you were talking about.

What is that truth which you're hiding from me?

Kendrick's brother tells him that their mother had a dream,

One of their sons has become a dragon hunter,

and I'm sure that this dream was for you.

You're such a brave man and have a lot of courage.

And I'm not like that, and Kendrick becomes hopeless to hear this,

He says, no, it seems wrong to you, I'm not brave.

But I'm a coward one, and I can't be a dragon hunter.

I couldn't do this, and can't fight with the dragon, and goes after saying this,

now, their brave companion, Kendrick's friend also listened to their conversation.

That's why when Kendrick was sitting sad and alone, he goes to him.

After encouraging him, he tells him that he has listened to their conversation.

You're not a coward but a brave man.

You have courage in you and that is too much.

But you've no idea about your powers

and you'll find your powers at some point, and will use them.

Later, Nathan and his group leave for the village again.

Whereas Kendrick and his brother will stay in this palace.

Because his brother will train him to become a good dragon hunter.

And how to find Dragan.

Later, Kendrick has a very difficult training to become a good dragon hunter.

Along with this, the old man also taught him many things,

that can be helpful for him and he learned a few things after working a lot.

After his training, the old man brings Kendrick to a place.

After giving him his sword and locket, he tells him,

to take this, fight with the dragon and kill them.

Because they can be killed, and you have the courage to kill them.

After saying this, the old man goes from there.

There the doctor who has kept that dragon inside the box,

that was brought out by the old man, he puts it inside the chemical.

Later, after reciting magical words he casts a spell on it.

Later, he drinks that chemical.

By doing this, his health deteriorates.

When Nathan's friend comes there, the doctor's health deteriorates more.

She comes to him, and he holds her,

and says, "now, I've become a devil, and could control the dragon.

After investigation, Nathan's friend finds the magical word of the senior hunter.

That the doctor has stolen, and this is the reason when they went there,

they didn't find these magical words.

And she runs after taking these magical words.

Because the doctor gets unconscious till that time.

But after a while, when he retroes his senses,

he hears strange sounds from outside.

That's why he went out to check where a giant dragon was.

After coming closer to him, the doctor tells him that I've done magic.

Now, you're in my control and have become my slave.

This time, you'll have to do what I ask you to do.

Suddenly the doctor attacks the doctor and eats him.

On the other hand, Kendrick and his brother also hear the sound from the village side,

so they begin to come toward the village.

Because all of their friends were there, but after coming here they see,

the dragon has destroyed everything after attacking the village.

Meanwhile, Kendrick sees the old man, who was quite injured,

he shows him the dragon inside him, and tells him,

that a dangerous dragon attacked there, and he has done this.

Saying this, the old man dies.

Seeing this, Kendrick's brother begins to worry about Nathan's friend,

and begins to find her,

he finds her in an injured condition.

She tells him to bring out the dragon from her body.

But Kendrick's brother doesn't want to do this, so he refuses.

Because she could die by doing this.

In the end, when he was about to bring it out, Kendrick comes there.

He tells his brother, stop, there is no dragon inside her body.

She is injured but her body isn't burnt.

That's why Kendrick's brother comes to Nathan after taking her.

There they see that many people in their group have died.

Nathan's companion tells them that Nathan went to fight with the dragon,

but becomes quite injured and his condition is unstable.

I think he won't survive.

Later, Kendrick's brother comes to Nathan and he was pretty injured.

He was breathing his last, and he told Kendrick's brother,

that I've tried a lot to kill those dragons.

But I wasn't successful, and now this is your responsibility.

Kill all the dragons and save humanity.

Saying this, his eyes close and he dies.

At night, Nathan's companion says to take all of the surviving friends far away.

Hearing this, Kendrick says, no we'll not go from there.

But we'll hunt dragons and will kill them.

Seeing such courage of Kendrick, everyone gets shocked and agreed later.

Further, he tells them that I have a plan and we'll act accordingly.

The next day, according to the plan,

they move while following the footsteps of the dragon.

Nathan's friend tells Kendrick if bright light goes into the dragon's eyes.

He can stop seeing for a while.

So we'll attack him after considering this.

Then the dragon comes there which was giant and dangerous.

While hiding in the jungle, everyone comes to their positions.

Where they had to stay.

Because of the light, the dragon has stopped seeing.

That's why they begin to hit the dragon's eyes with arrows one by one.

But that dragon was too clever that he closes his eyes.

That's why he wasn't hit by any of the arrows.

Meanwhile, Nathan's friend comes who brought the magical balls from the doctor's house.

Seeing him, when the dragon was about to attack him.

Kendrick's brother attacks him from behind,

but the clever dragon grabs him from his dangerous paws.

Kendrick's brother died.

As the dragon comes to kill Kendrick.

Meanwhile, the brave man comes and holds the dragon's mouth with his hands,

But in the end, the dragon swallowed the brave man.

Now, he moves forward to kill Nathan's friend.

Meanwhile, Kendrick comes and saves her.

The dragon has blown out the fire from his mouth from Kendrick was burnt,

but he is furious and attacks the dragon with his full power.

And the dragon runs from there to save his life.

Because Kendrick has decided to kill the dragon,

so he chases him with the sword.

Because of being injured, the dragon was unable to fly, so falls there.

Meanwhile, Kendrick comes and puts his sword inside him.

With continuous attacks, he finally kills the dragon.

In the next scene, we hear Kendrick saying,

My friend, that brave companion had encouraged me.

He said that I shouldn't be afraid but act bravely.

And you'll understand your power at the right time.

Today, the time has come when I've understood my power.

Now, I'm also a dragon hunter like my brother.

I'll fight with the dragon, and by killing them, I'll save humanity.

Today, I've fulfilled my mom's dream. From this, the film ends.
